My safari life began in Kenya in 1990, and that very first trip completely changed the way I saw travel. It sparked a lifelong love for Africa, wildlife, and the powerful connection between people, nature and place — a thread that has run through my entire career ever since.

I joined The Classic Safari Company because it perfectly aligns with how I believe travel should be done: thoughtful, immersive and meaningful. Being part of this team allows me to share the destinations I genuinely love and to create journeys that go far beyond ticking boxes, giving clients a deeper connection to the places they visit.

I specialise in Africa, particularly safari travel, having explored the continent extensively and worked in the industry for over 35 years across the UK, Australia and South Africa. I’ve also travelled widely through Europe, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific — including time working on board a ship — experiences that have given me a broad global perspective and strong destination knowledge.

If you ask me for my fondest travel memory, the answer is Madagascar. It felt completely unlike anywhere else I’ve ever been — the extraordinary wildlife, the landscapes, the cultures — it was truly unique and left a lasting impression on me.

What I find most rewarding about my work at The Classic Safari Company is being part of a team that genuinely cares about responsible travel, conservation and meaningful experiences — a company that shares my belief that travel should broaden perspectives and leave a positive impact on both people and places.
