Amanjena (peaceful paradise) is the first Aman resort on the African continent and is located just outside the ancient Moroccan city of Marrakech in the area known as the Palmeraie – a vast, dry palm grove just 10 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of the medina.

A tranquil retreat, Amanjena reflects the region’s Moorish heritage in every graceful arch, stone courtyard and rose petal-strewn fountain, its sunpaled red walls and reflective pools paying homage to North Africa’s stark beauty and rich history. This stunning, serene hotel is set out around the central feature of the ancient bassin (irrigation pool) which lies at the heart of the property.

Amanjena rooms are divided between 32 pavilions and 7 two-storey maisons. All expansive and decadent in design with many featuring high domes, wood-burning sunken fires, terraces with gazebos, lantern-lit seating areas and elegant Moroccan inspired décor.
