Glamping in untouched wilderness
Nestled amongst savannah bushland Cobourg Coastal Camp overlooks the picturesque waters of the Cobourg Marine Park. The eight permanent safari tents are airy, with the protection of net screens and zip up canvas, and are set upon raised decking with a small balcony overlooking the bay. Each glamping tent has two single, very comfortable sprung mattress beds, a side table, fans and a light.
A large undercover, open-air dining area is where meals are served and the adjacent lounge provides the perfect place to relax and look out over the ocean where pods of dolphins, jumping rays or crocodiles commonly cruise by. A well-stocked NT library is also available for you to enjoy and shared facilities are dotted throughout the grounds, all within a short walking distance of your tent – these include hot showers and eco-friendly toilets, all with fantastic private views of the surrounding bushland.
Renowned as a world class blue water fishing destination, Cobourg is abundant in some amazing marine life including six species of marine turtle, dolphins, sharks, crocodiles, stingrays, mud crabs and plenty of fish – including a healthy population of Barramundi. Spend your days exploring the nearby beaches and creeks, try your luck at fishing, enjoy 4WD forays or simply enjoy the solitude while reading a book from a hammock overlooking the ocean.
