Skeleton Coast

Hoanib Desert, Namibia

Stylish desert camp meets ocean adventure

The Skeleton Coast is one of the planet’s most inhospitable yet beautiful places. The concession covers 300,000 ha of wild and uninhabited wilderness where a lunar landscape of gravel plains covered with lichens and welwitschias, interspersed with sand dunes, gives way to the harsh Atlantic coastline.

Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp is scenically located at the confluence of two tributaries of the Hoanib River in the northern part of the private Palmwag Concession. Its location thus straddles the Palmwag area & the iconic Skeleton Coast National Park. The camp only accessible by light aircraft, consists of seven twin-bedded tents & one family unit, each comprising stylish en suite bedrooms with shaded outdoors decks. Flanked to the east and west by rugged hills, the camp looks out...

An absolutely fantastic travel company - every one of the many trips they have organised for us over 22 years have been faultless and fabulous.

Thank you for putting together the ancestral adventure of a lifetime. I cannot speak highly enough of the trip. The transfers went smoothly, the accommodation was excellent, the drivers were amazing as they manoeuvred through the traffic and every tour guide had a great deal of knowledge and information. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The contrast of poverty and riches of the country was striking, from the beggars in the street and struggles of the poor to the spectacular, impressive sights of the forts and monuments. There were so many highlights. A moment in time that will never happen again.

Exellent and wonderful, reaching way above expectations.
