Tucked among the tree-lined avenues of Lusaka’s south-east quarter, Latitude 15° sits twenty minutes from the city centre and thirty minutes from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport — as well placed for the business traveller as for the safari-bound guest pausing between flights. The aesthetic is modern Africa with a cosmopolitan inflection: naturally sun-lit interiors, cool in the dry season and warm in the winter months, adorned with bespoke artworks, luxurious linens and sumptuous fabrics. Guest rooms are spacious and handsomely appointed, each with a sumptuous bed, walk-in shower, full-sized bath and Nespresso machine; complimentary Latitude mineral water — still and sparkling — arrives as a matter of course. Three two-bedroom suites complete the picture, each with its own fully equipped kitchen, making them ideally suited to families or guests settling in for a longer stay.
At the main restaurant, the kitchen draws from global cuisines with confidence, each dish paired from a wine list curated largely from South Africa and Europe. The Other Side’s more informal kitchen offers sharing plates built for easy conversation and unhurried evenings. The spa provides a quieter counterpoint, working from plant-based African botanical products across Balinese, Malawian, Indian and Swedish treatments.
