The

Stanley and Livingstone

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Victorian period charm

The Stanley and Livingstone is Victoria Falls’ first boutique hotel and sitting within the 6,000‐acre Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve it is quiet, private and relaxed. Paying homage to David Livingstone (the first European explorer to “discover” the falls in 1855) and fellow explorer Henry Stanley, it captures the elegance and charm of the Victorian period with warmth and style.

Walkways lead to just 16 suites, set apart in tranquil gardens. Each one offers the same standard of accommodation and all enjoy king sized beds, luxurious bathrooms stocked with botanical‐infused Africology products, a lounge area with book collection and a private furnished terrace. The décor is sympathetic to the colonial era, but fresh and elegant. Meals are served in the dining room, on the terrace, or out in the gardens and an à la carte menu offers classic European and African‐fusion dishes, designed around the best local produce available at any one time. The wine cellar is stocked with premium wines, including some lesser known names, and private tastings can be arranged.

The hotel is less than ten minutes from the world famous Victoria Falls UNESCO World Heritage site, offering quick access to Mosi‐oa‐Tunya ‐ ‘The Smoke that Thunders’. While in the area you may also like to take a helicopter over the falls, browse the fabulous shops of the small town, go back in time on a tour of the iconic bridge, go white water rafting or tackle any one of the numerous adrenaline activities on offer including bungee jumping and gorge swinging.

In the buzzing town of Victoria Falls, the Stanley and Livingstone is an elegant retreat brimming with colonial charm.
