Tena Tena – meaning ‘temporary home’, enjoys a stunning new location on the banks of the Luangwa River in the remote Nsefu sector of the South Luangwa National Park. It is famous for its concentrations of plains game, especially huge herds of buffalo that move around in the area, which in turn attract predators. Tena Tena has been described as “altogether beyond superlatives and one of the best safari camps in the whole of Africa.”

Activities at Tena Tena centre on the abundance of this game and you have the option of morning, afternoon and night drives. There is also the opportunity to walk every day along the banks of the Luangwa and around the many oxbow lagoons which dot the area and attract stunning birds and an array of wildlife.
