Tree-climbing lions

Ishasha Wilderness Camp is situated in the Queen Elizabeth National Park beside the idyllic Ntungwe river. Its remote location is famous for tree climbing lions, which can sometimes be spotted resting in the branches of the fig trees. Elephant sightings are also very good here, and the birding is excellent. The camp is comfortable but unpretentious and each of the ten spacious canvas tented rooms has a private verandah overlooking the river.
