Situated on the Zimbabwean side of the mighty Zambezi River, the lodge is within easy walking distance of the Falls – in fact it is the closet hotel to them. It offers a range of rooms to suit all configurations and styles but all have bright, spacious interiors, stylish décor and air conditioning. Standard rooms offer double French doors open onto a luscious garden while deluxe rooms and executive suites boast private patios with views of the... spray and spectacular sunrises.
The main lodge is sophisticated and elegant with carefully selected antiques and patterned fabrics lending an indulgent, colonial atmosphere. Wild animals often graze on the hotel lawns and the pool and cocktail bar offer welcome relaxation at the end of a busy day of exploring. A real highlight is The Palm Restaurant which offers a superb a la carte menu under the African night sky, amidst the sound of the mighty waterfall – an unforgettable culinary experience.
The list of activities available at the Falls is never ending. The lodge offers breakfast and sunset cruises aboard the Ra-Ikane, a vintage styled cruise boat built to replicate the ‘Ma-Robert’, Dr David Livingstone’s boat, guided walking tours of Victoria Falls and visits to a nature sanctuary. They can also organize game viewing, canoeing, scenic flights and a whole host of adrenaline-pumping activities.
