Shaded by a large grove of acacia and mahogany trees, Ruckomechi Camp accommodates guests in ten spacious and beautifully decorated en suite tents, all of which overlook the Zambezi River. The central dining, bar and lounge areas face the escarpment and there is a separate pool deck for swimming and sunbathing.
In the evening an inviting fire deck makes for convivial evenings under the African skies. Nearby, the romantic star-bed overlooking a productive waterhole and the secretive outdoor ‘bath-with-a-view’ in a secluded scenic spot complete the experience.

This stretch of the Zambezi River is famous for its four main pools (after which the Park is named – ‘mana’ means ‘four’ in Shona) which hold water all year round, drawing all manner of wildlife and waterfowl during the dry season. Wildlife viewing is therefore excellent with large concentrations of buffalo and elephant to be found along the river’s edges and predators such as lion, wild dog and leopard often sighted.
Games drives (both day and night) ensure some spectacular encounters whilst river cruises and guided bush walks add another perspective to your game viewing and birding. Catch and release fishing of bream (tilapia), barbel (catfish) and tigerfish is also available.
