Corocora Camp is located in a 9,000-hectare private reserve run partly as a traditional cattle ranch, and partly as a nature reserve. Styled on the traditional safari camps of Africa, it offers four spacious tented suites, each adorned with Colombian fabrics and handicrafts, and each boasting an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot running water. Private terraces with traditional hammocks provide the perfect spot for watching the passing animals and birds with a good book in hand. Exquisite chef-prepared meals are served in the social mess tent using fresh local ingredients, and the bar and bonfire area draw people together to mull over the adventures of the day to soft guitar music.
During your stay explore on horseback, by 4×4, in a canoe or by helicopter to spot capybaras, anacondas, anteaters, howler monkeys, giant otters, and if you are very lucky, ocelots and pumas. Take part in pioneering conservation projects and spend time alongside the llaneros, or barefoot Colombian Cowboys, wrangling cattle and learning the ways of their culture and livelihood.

Thank you for putting together the ancestral adventure of a lifetime. I cannot speak highly enough of the trip. The transfers went smoothly, the accommodation was excellent, the drivers were amazing as they manoeuvred through the traffic and every tour guide had a great deal of knowledge and information. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The contrast of poverty and riches of the country was striking, from the beggars in the street and struggles of the poor to the spectacular, impressive sights of the forts and monuments. There were so many highlights. A moment in time that will never happen again.
