DAY 1 | MUMBAI | 3 NIGHTS
Arrive in Mumbai. Known as the ‘City of Dreams’ it is the wealthiest city in India, the home of ‘Bollywood’ – one of the world’s largest film industries and renowned for its complex, rich and exceptional architecture. Enjoy an evening at leisure in this thriving capital in preparation for the city to be unveiled to you tomorrow.
DAY 2 | MUMBAI
Early morning visit to the vibrant Dada Flower Market with its sweet fragrance of lotus, gerberas, crimson, lilies and marigolds, contrasts with a visit to Mumbai’s Sassoon Docks, so see the frenetic wholesale distribution of the morning’s fish catch. Later, enjoy a Heritage Walking tour of Mumbai, exploring the major landmarks on foot, taking in the cities stunning Gothic and Victorian architecture.
DAY 3 | MUMBAI
This morning enjoy a half day sightseeing tour, commencing with a visit to the stunning Indo-Saracenic monument that was constructed in 1924 and has since become symbolic of Mumbai’s position as the ‘Gateway to India’. Head to Colaba’s historic northern neighbour, Kala Ghoda, to see how Mumbai gained its position as the artistic capital of the country. The legendary Jehangir Art Gallery and the National Gallery Of Modern Art are among the many important institutions that grace this neighborhood. End your day woth a drive up Malabar Hill to watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea.
DAY 4 | UDAIPUR | 3 NIGHTS
Fly from Mumbai to the Lake City of Udaipur in the state of Rajasthan. Our recommended accommodation – Devigarh Palace Hotel – is nestled in the Aravali Hills outside of the city; the perfect location to immerse yourself in rural Delwara whilst staying in an unrivalled palace.
DAY 5 | UDAIPUR
Half day sightseeing tour of Udaipur includes exploring the City Palace, the Jagdish Temple and a visit to Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the Maids of Honour). Enjoy sunset with a boat ride on Lake Pichola.
DAY 6 | UDAIPUR
Embark on a trip to Delwara Village followed by a visit to the nearby Eklingji and Nagda Temples.
DAY 7 | JAWAI | 2 NIGHTS
Travel by road to Jawai visiting the 15th century Ranakpur Jain Temples en-route. Remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure in camp.
DAY 8 | JAWAI
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in surrounding areas of Jawai in search of leopard in the wild.
DAY 9 | JODHPUR | 2 NIGHTS
Rise for an early morning jeep drive prior to checking out. Transfer by road to Jodhpur. Remainder of afternoon and evening at leisure.
DAY 10 | JODHPUR
Discover the ‘blue city’ with a half day sightseeing tour which includes a visit to the impressive Mehrangarh Fort. Continue on to visit the Jaswant Thaada, the white marble cenotaph and end your tour with a walk to the Clock Tower and through the colourful Sadar markets.
DAY 11 | JAIPUR | 3 NIGHTS
Road transfer to Jaipur. Remainder of afternoon and evening at leisure on arrival.
DAY 12 | JAIPUR
Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Includes Amber Fort, pass by the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), walking through the City Palace and Museum, finishing with the UNESCO World Heritage Jantar Mantar (outdoor observatory).
DAY 13 | JAIPUR
Free day included today, to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings of your hotel, or the option to take an excursion to a local weaving village to see how they make intricate textiles. Your driver and vehicle are at your disposal, what ever you decide to do.
DAY 14 | AGRA | 2 NIGHTS
Road transfer to Agra visiting the 16th century UNESCO World Heritage Fatehpur Sikri en-route. After arriving into Agra and checking in, head out to watch sunset over the Taj Mahal from the Mehtab Bagh gardens.
DAY 15 | AGRA
Enjoy a morning half day sightseeing tour of Agra starting with a sunrise visit to the majestic Taj Mahal followed by the Agra Fort. Return to the hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure.
DAY 16 | DELHI / END OF ITINERARY
Transfer to Delhi (by road) and check in for your flight home. Depending on the flight departure time, a ‘day use’ room will be included today, so you can freshen up before your flight.
