Colonial Elegance, Cultural Wonders & Wild Encounters
Our Sri Lankan adventure begins in Colombo, where the grandeur of Galle Face Hotel sets the tone for an elegant journey. We will explore the capital’s temples, colonial architecture and lively markets, before travelling north to the sacred city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO-listed treasure. Staying in private pool villas surrounded by forest and rice paddies, we’ll experience the serenity of rural Sri Lanka alongside explorations of the breathtaking Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the atmospheric Dambulla Cave Temples.
From here, the rhythm slows in Kandy, where yoga, food trails and artisan shopping reveal the city’s layered identity. The highlands await next, with mist-shrouded mountains and refined hospitality at Ceylon Tea Trails, where the story of tea comes alive in atmospheric planter’s bungalows. A scenic train journey transports us through stunning landscapes to Ella, before continuing south to Yala National Park for exhilarating safaris in search of leopard, elephants and birdlife.
The final chapter takes us to Galle Fort, where cobbled streets, boutique cafés and Dutch-era mansions brim with character. Along the way, we will encounter local communities, pioneering women-led projects and exquisite architecture, culminating in a restorative finale at The Wallawwa. Throughout, private transfers, guided experiences and carefully selected stays combine to create a journey that balances culture, wilderness and indulgence, offering an elegant portrait of Sri Lanka.
